Visited for an anniversary dinner celebration and had a beautiful table setup with attention to detail. The space is stunning and we had a short walk around the garden before dinner. All the food we ordered was perfect and they had lovely mocktails as well. Our waitresses were lovely and knowledgeable about the food and went out of their way to take photos of us outside after dinner to celebrate the occasion. We can’t wait to visit again!!!

Yesterday, we celebrated my mother-in-law’s birthday at Boy Halls, a place we’ve visited several times before. We’ve always loved the setting and ambience, and once again, we were warmly welcomed. It happened to be one of the hottest days of the year, but we were fortunate to get a lovely, cool table indoors. I had sent them a note in advance to mention it was her birthday, and when I followed up on the day, they reassured me everything was taken care of — and it truly was. The service was impeccable. One of the waitstaff, whom I believe is from Eastern Europe, even came over to say hello — such a thoughtful gesture that made the day feel even more special. The food was delicious, as always. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and a memorable celebration at Boy Halls.

I booked the Dinner, Bed & Breakfast deal as a birthday treat and it definitely delivered. This place is a hidden gem. Stunning setting, stylish room, a bed you could sleep in for days, delicious food and genuinely friendly service. Yes, that was a long sentence but I had to get everything in. If you’re hesitating to book. Don’t. It’s well worth it.

I have been to Boys Hall Restaurant four times and I have no hesitation in saying it is excellent. The setting is gorgeous and the restaurant itself and the bar are very attractive. The bright, spaciousness of the restaurant is particularly welcome. The menu is intriguing and varied with a welcome emphasis on local, seasonal ingredients. Dishes are designed with thought and prepared with care. The wine list is equally interesting and every bottle I have thus far sampled has been of stand-out quality. But perhaps even more impressive is the service. The bane of so many meals - regardless of price - the service here provided largely by young people is impeccable. To my delighted surprise, my servers showed they knew about both the food and the wine menus. No, this is not cheap meal out, but if you take the whole experience into account it is certainly reasonable and much better value than many other 'cheaper' restaurants. My only bugbear about my visits is that for a non-driver getting there is a bit of a challenge!

We had a very delicious lunch in a superb chilled out atmosphere. My mushrooms on toast were a little salty for my palate but still ate them. Fish & lamb excellent and desserts to die for. Young lady who helped looked after us was very knowledgeable about Boys Hall’s history and a pleasure to converse with. Would certainly visit again. No Jim Beam but bartender recommended a good substitute.

We had a celebratory meal here and it was lovely. Boys Hall has a wonderful atmosphere and is very tastefully decorated. We like that they don't have tables sat on top of each other allowing for a more relaxing and intimate couples dining experience. The staff were so friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. The chef did so well to cater for my gluten free diet too. We will definitely be returning.

Boys Hall hotel is a wonderful hidden gem! My husband and I stayed in the Franklin room which was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. Despite being above the bar and courtyard, it was very quiet and private. Courtney at the front desk checked us in and she was so friendly and welcoming. We had cake upon arrival which was freshly baked and delicious, and our evening meal was so flavourful and filling. Our waitress was Daisy who was attentive, funny and knowledgeable! She was brilliant! We completed our stay with a lovely continental breakfast the next morning which was made from fresh and local ingredients. Overall it was such a relaxing stay, we didn't want to leave! We'll definitely be revisiting in the future and highly recommend this hotel and restaurant to anyone thinking of visiting!
